You DON’T need a language certificate, but having one can help !

When it comes to learning a language simply memorizing grammar or conjugation rules won’t be enough. What matters is assessing your ability to communicate. Speaking is by far the hardest part. It will definitely be required if you want to be able to prove not only your knowledge of a language, but your ability to use it to communicate with other people. Certificates are just pieces of paper. Being able to communicate is all that matters. During a job interview, or while sharpening your interactions with clients or friends - it becomes apparent just how skilled you are in a language. When I interviewed for companies here in Germany, they appreciated the fact that I had passed a higher level of the German Language Proficiency Test. All my friends who want to work in Germany also have this certificate. So, it can definitely get your foot in the door. Beyond that point though, it's pretty useless. As I was a soon-to-be Automobile Engineer, Deutsch was my first choice. I began my Language classes in 2010 in my second year. During this A1 course, I learnt the language from and got to know my Deutsch teacher Ms. Mathangi.And the Rest is History! Wann wir einen starken Glaube dafuer haben, dass etwas passieren soll, wird es immer bestimmt passieren. Es ist nur eine Sache der Zeit und der Ehrlichkeit ! Ich habe mich dafuer interessiert, eine Fremdsprache zu lernen, wann ich schon an der Uni war. Weil ich einen Auto-Ingenieurwissenschaft student war, waehle ich Deutsch aus. Ich habe meinen Sprachkurs schon in 2010 begonnen, wann ich in meinem zweiten Jahr war. Waehrend meinen A1 Kurs, habe ich meine Lehrerin Frau Mathangi kennengelernt. Und der Rest ist bekannt ! Wir haben viele Briefe geschrieben und Aktivitaeten gemacht. Ich war auch den Klassensprecher (wie immer) waehrend dem Kurs. Wann wir unsere Zeugnisse bekommen, habe ich schon meine erste Rede (bestimmt mit Hilfe meiner Lehrerin) in Deutsch in einen grossen Hoersaal gegeben . Studying at The Languedge has been a tremendous experience. The interactive atmosphere of the classes made even a shy person like me ,talk out loud and express myself, that too in German. The friendly environment of the class combined with an incredible teacher made me want to improve myself and study more. Individual attention is tailored towards each student during the exam preparation so that they can work at their weaknesses and score better marks. The availability of lot of test material also helps too. Even though I couldn't make it to the Stadtreise, from what I heard, it was definitely fun and interactive to spend a day among friends trying to speak in German in various spots around Chennai.
