Tracing my path from SRM to TechnischeHochschule Ingolstadt It all started in the second year at SRM when we were given a choice to choose foreign languages for the next two semesters. Being a student of Mechanical department, it was but natural that the first choice of language would be German. However due to limited availability, I could not take up the subject and instead ended up learning a different language (it is always advantageous to know more languages). My main aim for choosing Mechanical was the exuberant auto maniac inside me who wanted to learn intrinsically about automobiles. During my third year of engineering, I interacted with many erudite people from several auto industries as well as seniors abroad and everyone had only one thing to say – “Germany is THE destination for car freaks! The technology and design in the automobile field is unmatched”. After receiving so many positive responses towards Germany, I started my own research for different courses...

Wann wir einen starken Glaube dafuer haben, dass etwas passieren soll, wird es immer bestimmt passieren. Es ist nur eine Sache der Zeit und der Ehrlichkeit ! Ich habe mich dafuer interessiert, eine Fremdsprache zu lernen, wann ich schon an der Uni war. Weil ich einen Auto-Ingenieurwissenschaft student war, waehle ich Deutsch aus. Ich habe meinen Sprachkurs schon in 2010 begonnen, wann ich in meinem zweiten Jahr war. Waehrend meinen A1 Kurs, habe ich meine Lehrerin Frau Mathangi kennengelernt. Und der Rest ist bekannt ! Wir haben viele Briefe geschrieben und Aktivitaeten gemacht. Ich war auch den Klassensprecher (wie immer) waehrend dem Kurs. Wann wir unsere Zeugnisse bekommen, habe ich schon meine erste Rede (bestimmt mit Hilfe meiner Lehrerin) in Deutsch in einen grossen Hoersaal gegeben . Nach dem Kurs auch, gibt meine Lehrerin mir Tipps und hilft mir Deutsch weiterzulernen. Leider konnte ich nicht weiter nach A2 in 2011 studieren. Aber alles zu seiner Zeit ! Studying at The Languedge has been a tremendous experience. The interactive atmosphere of the classes made even a shy person like me ,talk out loud and express myself, that too in German. The friendly environment of the class combined with an incredible teacher made me want to improve myself and study more. Individual attention is tailored towards each student during the exam preparation so that they can work at their weaknesses and score better marks. The availability of lot of test material also helps too. Even though I couldn't make it to the Stadtreise, from what I heard, it was definitely fun and interactive to spend a day among friends trying to speak in German in various spots around Chennai. The Weekends sprechen and other fun group activities made us learn German without even realizing that we were actually working. MY EXPERIENCE AT THE LANGUEDGE I came to know The Languedge through my college seniors. They said"You will have have the best teaching and Education". Their words did come true. From Madras Institute of Technology to University of Applied Sciences Esslingen “You can never connect the dots looking forwards. You can only connect them looking backwards” were the famous words of Steve Jobs. My presence at Esslingen, Germany in September 2016 is a surely a series of dots (a collection of steady efforts, hard work and cumulative experiences) tracing back to the days of September of 2009 at Chennai, India. The Start It all started with my interest to learn a foreign language in 2009 while still at Madras Institute of Technology, not just for the career opportunities it offered me, but also for the feel good effect and sheer joy of learning a 3rd language.
